How to maintain description for custom objects with BI for multiple languages

Hello All,

For Standard objects, SAP takes care of description automatically in multiple languages.

For Custom objects, can you please let me know how to maintain description with mutiple languages ?

Hi Arun,

Are we talking translation of Explorer Information spaces or "custom objects" in a SAP BW? Or Hana? Are you using Universes?

SAP has a Translation Manager tool in BOE XI3.1 and BI4.0 (the latest version covers "everything") which helps with translation. Have you looked into that?

We are using BI 7.35 and I want to make translation with BI system.

Generally with BI system, standard objects description gets translated with multiple languages automatically.

But for custom objects, descriptions were maintained only with logon language in which it is created.

Example: Info object YTEST is created with SAP English (EN) language, Description "Test Info object" is maintained.

But while logging in with French (FR) language, I can see YTEST info object with description as YTEST. Description "Test Info object" is not maintained with FR language.

Can you please let me know how to maintain French language description also ?
