Some text elements/ selection texts in the Standard Program PPPIH000 are not maintaned in our SAP system ECC6.

As a result, the selection screen filters on t-code COID give incomplete/incorrect field text, Please reply if anyone has encountered a similar situation and what was the solution.

I tried searching for OSS notes, and found a related note 329617. But this note is applicable for SAP versions upto 4.6. And in our current system, the SAP note status says "cannot be implemented".

Please provide pointers for solving this problem.

But there is one more thing that I want to know.

In our SAP landscape, we have a sandbox system, a development system, quality and production.

Strangely, in the sandbox system, the text elements for PPPIH000 are all correctly maintained. But the Dev, quality and Prod systems have this issue with some of the text elements being incorrect or not maintained. What could be the reason that the sandbox does not have this issue?

The solution in note 1481658 would not have been applied to sandbox alone?

Is your Sandbox on a different Service Pack?

May be Transport request containing this report is not imported on DEV Quality and Prod system.

Hi Niharika,

Although NOTE 329617 says it can't be implimented ,you are not going to impliment the NOTE but you will be SAVING the Selction screen text mentioned in the Manuel corrections.

This has nothing do with Implimentation od note via SNOTE. So ignore it and Just do relevant manuel correction for Selection screen Text for particular language.

Or you may try maintaining selection screen text in required language from below notes:

Use  menue path after opening report in SE38  :

GO to-> Text element ->Selection Text / text symbols.

Note 1281690 - COID: Incorrect names on selection screen

Note 1481658 - Missing text elements in COID

This might have happen as Post implimentation activities involving creation of selection Text are not done for given language on Program  PPPIH000 after applying particular note.

You may check whether any OSS note applied or not  on  PPPIH000 by comparing current Code with earlier one using Verion Management.
