Database Update - Peculiar Behaviour

Hi Everyone,

I have a requirement where I need to update the standard database table from a custom program , I have written an utility in ABAP which will take of care of this, when I ran the program I could see sy-dbcnt as 1400 in debug mode, but when I checked the table entries to my surprise it was 1268. I checked the size category also which was 3, can anyone tell me why the rest of the records are not shown/updated in db table?.

Rgds,

    Hi,

Please check as whether they are multiple entries for the same set of key fields, suppose there are 4 entries in internal table with same set of key fiedls then whiel updating the last one will be updated. normally update command will either update if present or will insert new entries.

    Regards,

    Jagath.
