How to create a parent child relationship for 2 assets

Hi Experts ,

We have a requirement where parent child relationship has to be set up between a number of assets . The relationship would be 1:n ( 1 parent asset linked to a number of child assets ) .

I need guidance as to how to create assets with that relationship .

Kind Regards

    Hello Anirban,

This you can do with the concept of main asset and sub asset concept in SAP. For every asset you create you can ccreate more than one sub-asset, which will be linked to the main asset.

Please check the sap help on this. If you need link, please let me know.

parent asset sub number(ANLA-ANLN2) is always zero.

child asset sub numbers start with 1, 2, 3 and so on

Asset number is same for parent and child but sub number varies.
