Hello,
Is it possible to identify in an Update Rule whether
the data is from a Full Upload or a Delta upload?

Hi Anoop,
Update rules does not concern on what type of update mode has occured recently to the Info Provider. You cannot tell. For you to tell, use the tcode RSMO - Monitoring. It will display what type of update mode has recently occured.
e.g. Full Update, DELTA, INIT DELTA etc.
Hope that helps...

Hi Anoop,
another option might be to enhance the infosource by a additional field and put the mode into it in the transfer rules. Then you have the information available in the update rules. In transfer rules you can get the information from the record g_s_minfo. Look at the start routine for it.

Hi all,
Thanks for all that response, quite informative. I think, what siggi suggested might work. But I did not try it because my idea was wrong at the first place.
I think I should clarify my actual requirement, on why I
went in for that absurd logic of identifying delta and full upload in an updaterule.
I am testing the non-cumulative updation. For which I
need 2 seperate datasources. 1 for init and 1 for delta.
I was trying to make it possible from a single datasource.
ie, based on fullupload or delta i can then define a different logic in the updaterule. well, i don't think that is the correct way to do it.
Anyway, thanks once again.

Hi Anoop,
Update rule is the same for whatever type of processing (Delta/Full) you are using. A delta enabled DataSource can support full loads as well.
If you question is "How to findout if the DS is delta enabled?", one easy way is to take a look at the InfoPack created on that DS and see the possible update modes.

Hi Anoop,
I think the answer is "no", because delta or full belongs to the DataSource and since an InfoSource can be connected to many DS there's no way to say something similar for the Update Rule.
You must search for the answer at a lower level ...
Hope it helps
