Generating workbooks using macros

Hi,

We have a workbook with macros. And we execute a cmd command which takes information from the config file(which has the information of this workbook and BW login info, query name etc,). When the cmd is executed it generates workbooks for different profit centers separately around 100 workbooks. These are automatically generated and placed into a network folder. (The profit center file name, the destination folder, log file are all given in the config file).And then we broadcast these to the portal. I want to know how this cmd is created and how it is linked to config file etc. The workbook has been created back in 2006-2007 and no documentation is maintained. Now I have a similar requiremnt to create a report and generate it for 100 different profit centers separately. Can some one please help me. Also is there any other way to achieve the requirement.
