I'm trying to install BOXI R3.1 SP5 on NEW VM windows Server 2008 64bit, SQL SERVER 2008, Tomcat. I got the error messages in the middle of installation

  • "Error 1904.  Module C:\Program Files\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 11.5\win32_x86\ExportSDK.dll failed to register.  HRESULT -1073741819.  Contact your support personnel" installation client tools.
  • "Error 1904.  Module C:\Program Files\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 11.5\win32_x86\importent6.dll failed to register.  HRESULT -1073741819.  Contact your support personnel".

I ignored them and completed installation successfully.

CCM - all services are UP and running fine. Also Tomcat is UP and running fine.

Also able to login client tools deski/designer/import wizard ..

when I try to login CMC/Infoview from start menu I'm getting the white screen and never comes back.

http://bo:8080/ responds fine but for http://bo:8080/CmcApp/ getting white screen.

is this because of the DLL errors or anything else??. Please help us.

I've tried the below steps but didn't help.

1) Stop Tomcat

2) open the folder C:\Program Files\Business Objects\Tomcat55\Webapps

3) remove or rename the affected application directory (for example, remove or rename CmcApp, CmcAppActions, and PlatformServices to redeploy the entire CMC)

4) open the folder C:\Program Files\Business Objects\Tomcat55\work\Catalina\localhost

5) remove or rename the same folders removed or renamed in step 3

6) Start Tomcat

let me know if any other info needed.
Thanks!

As suggested by Graham in the earlier thread, if renaming or removing the deployed warfiles from work catalina localhost do not work, try to manually copy the warfiles from the warfile directory under business objects 12.0 directory to the webapps directory under businessobjects/tomcat location. Hope this works.

Additionally you have mentioned that using http://boxi31:8080 takes you to the tomcat page. If so login to the tomcat manager and check the status of the warfiles. You should be able to see whether they are deployed or undeployed. Simultaneously if they are deployed, there is a start and stop status for these. If it is stopped for the warfiles just start them and try to open the CMC and infoview login page.

Hope this works.

Cheers,

A
