Packing list when click on shipment completion

i want to print Packing list while click on shipment completetion in VT02N.

Please suugest the necessay step to set up this .

For this you need to setup activity profiles to get packing list printing once shipment completion.

SPRO-->Logistics Execution-->Transportation-->Shipments-->Define and Assign Activity Profiles

Define and Assign Activity Profiles

The activity profile outlines possible activites to be executed in the shipment document when the shipment has reached a certain status. You can define a separate activity profile for each status.

Possible activities include:

• posting goods issue for deliveries currently in shipment

• billing deliveries currently in shipment

• printing certain outputs

Then, you define a selection variant, which may in turn be assigned to a shipment type. In this way, the shipment activities that are to be carried out are defined for the shipment type as soon as the corresponding status is set.

You can define that the system displays a dialog box as soon as the status is set. In this dialog box you can enter additional data. When registering a car for example, the system could display a dialog box in which you enter the license plate number and the name of the driver.

Example

For the shipment type individual shipments, you could define that goods issue for all shipment deliveries are to be posted as soon as the shipment is marked "processed".

Activities

Define a new activity profile as follows:

1. 1. Move the cursor to the field shipment type and status for which you want to define an activity profile.
2. 2. Enter a name for the profile and choose "maintain".
3. 3. Mark the activities that are to be executed when the given status is set.
4. 4. If you want the system to display a dialog box, set the indicator "Dialog box for fast entry during setting of status" and select the fields that you want to be displayed in the dialog box.
5. 5. Save your profile.

may i know how this fuctionality work.

for ex. in activity profilr: i have shipment type: ZOCI and variants in the fields are as follow:

for check in: PICK1--packing list(ZPL1)

At completion: ZSHP--Zcmr output.

so, what does it means and what happens with this setting while shipment.

As per your settings system perform outbouts in background .If you set the activity monitor job in background then it will perporm outputs automatically once shipment completion..

so, will it trigger a output type or will sent the print to printer.

one more question suppose if i have to print Packing list ZPL1   while shipment completion, do i need to add this condition type in ZSHP variant which is assigned at shipment completion.(curently in this varaimt only ZCMR condition is there).

Yes..You need to add ZPL1.

Once you entrered variant in the activity profile you will see maintain tab ,Once you select this it will take you maintanance screen.

There you can see each outputwise diffrent check boxes.If you are printing from delivery then you need to select delivery check box then it will give print.Check transmission and print medium...

i have maintained the output type say ZPKL in variant . Do i have to maintain the ZPKL condition in V7-transport application.

Right now for V7-only ZCMR is maintianed.

Currently ZPKL where it is located ?.If it is not created then crete in V7 or where you need to get print out accordingly configure in NACE transaction.

Curently ZPKL-packing list condition in V2-shipping. its not in V7 -transportation where in need to print ZPKL

It seems you are getting output from delivery,So add the output at delivery filed.
