Deployment automation

I'm trying to write a command line tool to automate the deploying of our application to SAP Netweaver. We have system properties, an ear file, external jar files, and additional classpaths.

Before I start diving into this, does anyone have any experience in this area? Where can I find more information? Things seems to be scattered around.

Would it be worthwhile to use the JMX deployment mechanism?

Thanks,

Anil

    Hi,

find some experience on similar matters shared in is-there-a-way-to-start-a-j2ee-application-per-com post. Not much, but at least something to start with.

    Hope that helps!

Anil, were you able to make any headway with automating the deployment via ant or any tool? did the SDM remotegui help?

Is there any way we can deploy to a remote server from the command line?
