HI all ,

Resolved by upgrading my front end GUI 720  to patch level 11 ..

But having a new #2302 error . Looks like it needs web service to be running . I have to check with basis guys .

NIKHIL ,

what is the difference between connecting in this way and connecting to bex using OLAP connection and Dashboards 4.0 FP3 . Both  methods are using BICS connectiviy right ?

I know the only difference is in publishing

Pramod,

Although both methods have same name the difference is, in new BICS java dependency is removed. ie BICS is moving to the businessObjects environment. As you know in the current method we need BI java on the BW side to leverage BICS in dashboard design.  For webI 4.0 and CR4E, SAP has already removed BICS java dependency in BI 4.0 itself. From FP3 onwards dashboard design also going to use the same new BICS. So we will be able to publish our dashboards using BICS in BI launch pad. I hope it is clear. Refer below links for a good read.

Hi Pramod,

Try doing a simple repair action(run setup.exe). refer below thread also.

Hi,

First java and ABAP must be on same stack; also you (Basis Team) can run the SAP NOTE # 937697.

and can figure out the problem, showing with red signal.

Thanks,

Sapanesh
