ACE for Customer Hierarchies

Greetings Experts,

we've got an issue with ACE in context of Customer Hierarchies in CRM. We've done an implementation for the ACCOUNTCRM Object and for "standard" accounts the ACE is working correctly. But for Customer Hierarchy nodes from ERP which we transferred to CRM the ACE is not working correctly. Every ACE assigned user is able to search/view all hierarchy node and it doesn't matter if he is allowed to do that or not...

regards and thanks

Marc

    Hi Marc,

I have similar requirement in CRM, Can you please let me know how I can implement the solution using ACE.

My requirement is ,I have two businesses in same system, and I have to restrict the authorization to all the users of individual business . Users of Business one should be restricted in accessing the business partners of Business Two and vice versa. Can you please let me how this can be achieved.

    Thanks in Advance.

    Ravi

    Hi Marc,

The ACE implementation that you have done is applicable only to Accounts, not to account hierarchies.

    Hi All,

thanks a lot for your feedback. My general question is, is ACE available for customer hierarchies in CRM? It seems for me that the ACE is not triggered for this kind of master-data objects...

    regards

    Marc

    • Hi Marc,

As far as I know, ACE is not enabled for customer hierarchies.

Just wanted to correct your statement - "It seems for me that the ACE is not triggered for this kind of master-data objects..."

It is only for those objects for which ACE has been enabled, the authorization will be triggered. It is just not that ACE is not triggered for this object, rather it is not enabled. Only when an object is ACE enabled, we can implement the authorization by creating rules and rights.

      Thanks for your understanding,

      Best Regards,

      Leon
