Can I link queries based on separate universes?

I am trying to create a WebI report based on criteria that exists in two separate universes. I am using BI 4.0. A coworker of mine working in BusinessObjects 6.5 was able to link the two queries base upon separate universe as seen in this screen shot...

Is this still possible in BI 4.0?

I have attempted to do this with query filter where the account number in one query is in the list of account number returned by the other query.

However, the report errors because Query 2 returns too many records.

I know theoretically this approach should work because when I hard code one account number into Query 2 it works fine.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

    Hi Noel,

please check the MAX_INLIST_VALUES parameter in the Universe, this error usually comes out when the IN LIST statements in the query are over that number

    Thanks and regards,

    • Hi Noel,

Do you get this error while running the report?.

If so provide a value to the Account number than keeping it as optional.

I faced the same issue as the Parameter has huge list of values and cannot pull the records.

Enter a value to the Parameter and check if the prompt error still persist, if not then change your Unvierse Parameter settings..

      Hope this might help.
