Subreport will not display if the main report shows no records.

I have created a report in Crystal 11.  I have the parameter setup to pull a specified location so that I can view the information in the main report and the subreport using the Subreport Link.  If I have data in the main report I can also see all of the info in the Subreport.  However, if the main report does not have any records the Subreport does not appear at all.

I know that there is information in the Subreport because I can run it from there.

How can I fix this so that if the Main report is Null it will still display the Subreport?

Thank you,

Ron

Hi Ron,

Well, that's how it is supposed to behave!

If you've linked a database field with the subreport then a blank value is what goes to the subreport and that's why the subreport does not show anything.

Pass the parameter created in the Main report to the subreport and see if that helps.
