Billing in Different UOM

Hi Experts,

We maintain the unit of measurement of all our materials as EA(Each), in the addition data we will maintain like 1EA = 25 Kg of 1EA = 180 Kg.

And till date the billing was happening in EA, now we need the billing of all materials to done in KG.

What are all the necessary changes to be done at the master level(Material, customer and pricing) or at configuration level to do it?

Hi,

1) Maintain UOM as KG in Material master additional data>UOM

2) Change the UOM in sale order Item level as KG Instead of EA,also change the UOM as KG for the conditions in item level conditions tab

3) Create Billing document for that specific sale order

If the requirement is only for billing, then you can very well maintain the alternate unit of measure for EA to KG in material master.  Most importantly, your pricing condition record should also be maintained in KG.
