ORA-01503: Create control file failed

Hi,

Can anyone help me out regarding this.

I am performing system refresh procedure, I'm facing the below issue.

ORA-01503: Create control file failed

ORA-00059: Maximum number of DB_FILES exceeded.

ORA-01110: data file 201: '/oracle/ACC/sapdata10/sr3_181/sr3.data181'

I have used the below command to increase value of "DB_FILES"

alter system set db_files=40 scope=spfile;
