SUP runtime credentials fo WS MBO

Hi everybody,

we are facing a problem in SUP 2.1.2 when changing the cache policy for a cache group from on demand to scheduled: as soon as we change the policy the contained MBO is flagged with a red circle.

The error list reports: "It is unsupported to set runtime credential for mobile business object that belongs to a cache group using scheduled policy. ", the problem is that no runtime credential propagation is set.

This happens on different servers, only on MBO created from SOAP operation with HTTP authentication enabled.

Any hint?

Thank you very much,

For onDemand cache policy, the data will get populated at the first time when the request comes from a device. So cache refresh depends on the client request in which there is a possibility that current backend userid/password can be used to authenticate the webservice at runtime.

But in Scheduled cache policy, cache refresh will happen without any interaction of the client in the scheduled manner. So cache refresh happens independent of the device request in which there is no option to propagate the user id/password. Thats why you are getting the error when you change the cache policy of the MBO to scheduled..

      thank you for the response.

Maybe it was not clear in the original post, the MBO is NOT set to use runtime credentials, it happens only for WS MBOs, even in different projects and on different servers.
