Calling independent ALV from Module Pool with Correspong Person NO.

Hi Gurus,

i have built a time sheet application for my corporation, Now i have a requirement to generate a report

for a particular employee when he logs in,

Let me explain , a employee logs in to a timesheet application,--> when he logs into TS Appln Screen His PErson No. Name comes along to the screen,

Now When he clicks a Button called " REPORT " it should automattically fetch the Employees Person No. and display his total report.

Wht i did is (infact had two choices), Created a ALV Report, Generated A Transaction Code for that report,

Say,Option 1: When ' REPORT '

Call transaction ' ZREPORT '.

Option 2 : Created a function code for that Button.

Say, When ' REPORT '.

SUBMIT alv_report using selection screen '1000' with Person_no EQ Screen-person_no(in time sheet screen) and RETURN.

Case 1 : doesn't execute , comes back to calling screen.

Case 2 : gives a empty list only with catalogue (field names.)

Can anybody suggest me a perfect answer please.

Tahnk you.

    Hi,

When you are executing the alv_report separately is it giving you the details?

Also, person_no in alv_report, is that a parameter or select option?

    Thanks,

    Shambu

Try to debug the called report (ALV)

    - does it receive the person N° (In case of call transaction did you use a memory id, and is it used by called report, in case of submit check parameter name)

    - If yes is it able to display data with this only input (Are they other missing/required parameters ?)

    Regards,

    Raymond
