Hi, When I publish a Speedometer graph the accuracy is off by a noticable amount. Example: Where the graph value is 9.2 the needle clearly points to 9.5. There is a large space between 9 and 9.5 so the users will definately notice. A mouseover displays the correct datapoint value.
Another example: Where the graph value is 8.3 the needle clearly points to about 8.6 or 8.7. This is a problem becasue there is a minor tick at 8.5 so the needle shouldn't be past the minor tick.
Any ideas if there is a setting I'm missing or just a problem with the speedometer chart functionality?
Anyone?
Kenneth,
I'm also working on speedometers but cannot reproduce your problem. I guess you've played with all possible options in the Chart Designer...

Ok, The problem still exists, but I found an odd workaround. The axis values of my "Speedometer" are set to 1 thru 12 and I have only 1 data series(arrow). The gridline value series are set to 0-8 is red, 8-10 is yellow, and 10-14 is green. With this setting both the pointer(arrow) and the colored data ranges are not aligned with the axis.
When I changed the axis value to 1 thru 12 everything lined up!
This chart was created and went through a 3.5 upgrade if that makes any difference. A colleague of mine got it to psuedo work using %'s on the axis... Any ideas on how to get this type of graph to work properly?
Thanks!
OK, solved the problem. It was related to the number of major ticks and the precision format you have set. I had only whole numbers for precision and based on the number of major ticks I had one of the numbers is being dropped by the graph. when this happens it skews the alignment of the data ranges and the pointer.
Thanks all!
