Best practices

Hi all,

I'm still implementing further checks in the PC-UI for CRM Business Partner :). I'm in a point that I must redefine the CL_CRM_BSP_IL class, and I'm not sure if this should be done. Does anyone know if this practice is recommended or not ?

Thanks in advance,

David

    Hello David,

I think that you should not do it. Have you checked what BAdI's are avaliable to do such checks?

    Regards

    Hi Gregor,

I have to check screen data, SAP provides the BDT to perform the checks in SAP GUI but for PC-UI I need to redefine each MAC to add those validations. My problem comes when the user clicks on the save button I have to check that all the required data has been filled by the user, so I need to send a message from the CL_BSP_BP_PROMOD-SAVE method to all the instances with the extended validations. I found that the instances are registed in CL_CRM_BSP_IL in a private section, so I cannot access from the CL_BSP_BP_PROMOD-SAVE.

Is there other way to access these instances ?

    Thanks,

    David

    Hi,

I have to check that required fields are filled, not the content. Thus, if any of these fields are not filled (when user saves or checks the screen) send a custom message advising of which field must be filled.

    Thanks for your help,

    David

    • Hello David,

is it not acceptable if you mark the fields as requierd via PC-UI customizing? They will get a red star beside the field description and the user will get a Popup when he clicks save and has not filled all required fields. As I remember from our application the focus is then at the first not filled required field when the user pressed OK.

      Regards

      Gregor

Can I customize the displayed message? The client wants specific messages description for each field, not the standard message "Fill all required fields".

    Thanks a million,

    David
