Status access/change for Campaign Document

Former Member

Hello,

Whenever we create a campaign document, we see some default status like "Created", "Approve", "Locked", "Obsolete", "Released". How do I see these status in the backend? I have tried to check in the transaction CRMBS02 -> status profiled ID - CRMMDFCP(CRM MDF Campaign) but could not find it anywhere. It shows some options in the German. On double-clicking, I get some list which doesn't match with the options in campaign document.

Are they hardcoded?

How do I assign my own status profile to a campaign document? Is the workflow item attached to each option that we list down in the status?

Can anyone please help me finding the same?

Regards,

Harsh

Hi Harsh,

I faced a similar problem sometime back and even I searched for the Standard Status Profile but couldnt find any. Looks like its hard coded.

What can be done is as below:

1. Navigate to the Transaction Code :CRMBS02

2. Maintain the User Status Profile with user status as seen in the Screen Shot Below:

3. Save the Status Profile

4. Naviagate to the Campaign Type Page, assign the status profile and Maintain the Settings as shown below for the Field "Hide System Status"

5. Save the changes

This should solve the problem. Hope this helps.

Hello, Harsh and Srinivas.

Setting "Hide system status" is available in SAP CRM 7.0 Ehp1 for marketing plans and campaigns only if switch CRM_MKT_PRODUCTIVITY_1 (which is part of CRM_MKT_PRD business function) is active.

In plain 7.0 (or in Ehp1 if you don't want to activate BF or a switch) you can hide system statuses according to Note 1335228 - Hiding System Status in Marketing Applications and related Note 1338896 - Sample BAdI Implementations: Hide system status.

PS: Srinivas, just for your reference: asking for points is not permitted according to rules of engagement.

Hi Andrei, Hi Srinivas.

Thank you for your reply. I will try to follow the steps.

One more thing, can we attach workflow items to the status profile. For example, I want status to be "Locked for approval" and want a "Workflow for Approcal" to be activated. How can I do that?

I'd think of actions and schedule condition for it in your case.

Hi Andrei,

So I am back to square one. I asked this question in relation to the long discussion we had sometime back on campaign document getting stuck for "Approval workflow" and thus not getting released. I thought I will be able to assign a new status and get on with the campaign execution. Looks like I have to follow a different approach now.

Harsh,

now I got what you are talking about. I remember that discussion Disable approval workflow in campaign automation process. Are you facing the same issue? Or right now it's only about approval workflow?

Andrei,

Yes, this is the same thread where we had a discussion. And I am still stuck with the approval thing. The surprising thing is that the scenario works perfectly in the CRM from where did the system copy.

I have compared all the settings but I am still not able to figure out where lies the problem?

Did you check approval workflow WS10001004? Is it active? May be in a new system it's activated by default or somebody activated it previously.

Hi Andrei,

I got the solution finally. Everything was correct with workflow configuration. WF-BATCH user was not given proper authorizations. After assigning the correct profiles, I am able to proceed now.
