File capacity for services for object

What is the maximum capacity of storing files by using service for object in the material master(mm02)? I want to store BIG catalog in the material master for each material?

Can some body throw light on this, please?

    Hi Jaheer,

Its always better to use DMS (Document management System) to store any type of file, catalogue etc instead of using Service for Object.

If u use Service for object then it consumes SAP database capacity and may be u can attach 2 to 3 MB file.

In DMS if the external content server is attached then u can upload every type of file and u dont need to think for space or capacity.

Only thing is DMS consultant need to configure one doc type and add a objent link that is Material master (MARA).

If u want details of DMS config (How to to do it) then i can share it.
