Hello all,
I want to install new Sol Man 7.2 on Sybase DB. Since I have heard that the new Sol Man is not dual stack, what is the best case scenario - ABAP, JAVA and DB on different hosts, or can they all be in one? I am looking for recommendations on this.
When I do quicksizer I also see "Enterprise Manager" and "Sol Man" coming in different size terms. Should they go on different hosts?
I would like to know recommendations on these 2 areas. Any links, help, highly appreciated. Thank you!
Thank you Tom

Hi Jim
If you go for Sybase ASE, you have to have a dedicated database per instance so ABAP + Sybase ASE and JAVA + Sybase ASE. One database, multiple components (MCOD) is not supported on Sybase ASE for SAP Solution Manager 7.2.
Look for upgrade SAP Solution Manager 7.2 note and you'll find above info on the database.
Enterprise Manager can be installed on the same host but it depends on your setup or environment in the end, you can separate things out or scale out Wily EM across multiple hosts if needed. I tend to install Enterprise Manager on the same host when the managed system landscape is not huge (# systems to be monitored through Technical Monitoring).
Best regards
Tom
