Restriction on navigational attributes

Hi

Does any one know how to perform restriction on Navigational attributes in Bex reporting?

Assume I have master data already loaded into my infocube with navigational parameters already checked and I call this Infocube in query.

regards

krishna

From a logical standpoint navigational attributes and attributes that are stored directly in a dimension behave the same with regards to defining a restriction in a query: restricted key figure, global filter or default value.

However, there may be difference from a performance standpoint,

    Hi Krishna,

    Adding to hans...

Its the same procedure as you do for normal attribute.

right click on the navigational Attribute and select "restrict".

All the activities that you can perform can also be performed on the top of Navigational attribute as well.

    Hi,

    You can carry out restrictions

    but only issue is performance..

instead u can add the field and populate in routine or transformation ..

and restrict on that field in the report..

    Thanks and regards
