SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise (BOE) web application is configured to communicate with BOE Intelligence Tier

Hi Folks

i'd like to set up distributed instalation mode so web tier(tomcat - IIS) will be install in a server and application in anohter server

how SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise (BOE) web application is configured to communicate with BOE Intelligence Tier.?

in which configure file in the tomcat i should mention appication server name?

    The location where you need to do this depends on the version. In XI 3.1 you did this in the web.xml files of the web applications (InfoViewApp/CmcApp for example). In BI4 looks for the section

    'Specify BOE properties in the custom configuration directory' in the Business Intelligence Platform Administrator Guide

      Thank you for your answer,

      You said "You should not have to configure this manually if you install Tomcat and IIS web-tier web applications using the BOE installer as the CMS name will be requested during the install process and will be set correctly in the web applications."

      I knew it is asking about CMS hostname during the installation, but i wanted to make sure that after the installation i can change it and some configuration too.

      For your information, i'm using IIS to redirect the traffic to Tomcat, so the change are going to be made in Tomcat.
