Datasource issue

Hello, I just installed fi_gl_20 datasource but it's delta is not working. it keeps bringing 0 records. When I do Full load or init with data then everything is fine. does any one else have this issue? please let me know, how to resolve this? thanks.

Hi Vikram,

Seems we have issue with delta capability and we can use the data source 0fi_gl_12 instead of 20.

have you maintianed settings to extract delta for Fi data source?

You need to maintina the safety invterval paramter values in the table BWOM_SETTINGS.

go through the below notes and document to get more clear picture.

@jagadeesh: its possible to extract delta for FI data sources if the delta parameters are set in the above table.

Guys, the articles that you have sent the link for are addressing issues to pull data multiple times a day.  We here are only trying to fetch deltas once a day.  what if we create the entry in table BWOM_SETTINGS for 1800 seconds and then do not pull every hour or so? Would we have any problems then?  thanks.

and run the delta after this time.

Shanthi, I am sorry but what do you mean by Refer field AETIM?  I checked and there are no entries in that table.

actually, in one of my past clients this datasource used to bring delta records fine. but not here. which means this datasource is capable of bringing deltas, there is something wrong at this client.

Hi,

Can u check ROOSOURCE table in R/3, to check 'Safety Interval Lower Limit'.. By default its 3600.

That means BW will extract a records after 3600 sec after entered in source system.

I think u have to change that value to 'X' to enable delta many times in a day.

Check sap note note 991429 (this for 0FI_GL_4) will give some idea.

Vikram,

All the Non - LO Extractors will trigger delta only once. The time of trigger would be the time when you last did your init. Please refer link of my collegue

Hi

All finance Data sources will bring delta one day before i.e. if you are loaded full or init load and then immediately load delta it will not bring any date since you already loaded all the data.

Suppose for testing if you have created some dummy records and you want to see immediately with bydefault DS settings it can be possible next day.

If you want to test immediate postings then we need to do delta settings in tables.

Vik, any progress on this?  I am facing the exact situation, where my records come in as '0' when I do delta and Init with transfer will bring all records.

Hi Vikram,

You can try giving lower safety limit as 3 to 4 days in datasource if it loads to DSO or Master data targets.

This will fetch the postings that happened for last 3 to 4 days.
