Hi guys,

I have set up a new AS2 connection with one of our third party system..al the confiuration is fine and i am able to send them the file..

we have even added their IP address into our firewall.

But now, they say they are getting "timeout" when they send a message.

when i  tried pinging the ip adress from cmd...it gives timeout error..but when the basis guy do the ping from telent..it works fine.,

so what is telnet here? how come it is working wiht telnet? does this require any extra setting from PI side or at the third party side?

please advise

The problem could be at partner's firewall while sending data to your PI system. Also make sure that the partner is using correct URL and port to send data to your system.

When you are trying the ping, are you doing it from the PI system command prompt? It is possible that the partner system only allows telnet ping. These are all configurable settings.

Hi prateek,

Thanks for your reply.

1. yes, we are pinging from the  PI system command prompt.

2. I provided them the correct URL but they still say that they are not able to reach our network.

this is happening when tey are sending an MDN message from their system to PI....the other issue is we are getting the MDN message in MONI but they are failing saying  " no sender agreement found for MDN".

So, Should i create separate interface for MDN reverse flow...its OK if we dont gt nay message in MONI and get the confirmation only in SeeburgerMonitor--MDN....but its faling at moni is creating a problem.

when i change the CC setting to "No Action" the message is failing at the initial stage itself and not goin to third party system.

please advise.

smith,

ping command could be disable in that server, so only telnet will work along with port.
