Hi
In development environment, I created a shopping cart for a text item in
SRM. After approval of Shopping Cart, I am getting an error message "
(PReq.XXXXXXXXXX): 06 223 Document number XXXXXXXXXX not within defin
edinterval" and for other shopping cart we are getting an error message
"
(PReq.XXXXXXXXXX): NR 751 For object RESB, number range interval does not
exist OMJK ". Please refer attached screenshot of one of the error
messages from application monitor.
NOTE: I have checked number ranges in SRM & R/3 and defined correctly.
The backend system is ECC 6.0.
The follow-on document - Purchase Requisition is not created in R/3 ECC
6.0 environemnt due to the error message.
Please let us know if we are missing some configuration for our new ECC
6.0 environment or SRM system.
Note: We were using R/3 4.7 connected to SRM 5.0, it was working fine.
But now we have changed the R/3 backed system to ECC 6.0, and facing
theissue for Purchase Requisition.

Hi Vinay,
I have refered that link, that gives solution for reservation creation issue.
We also already mainated number ranges for reswervation in table T460D.
Our case reservation is creating without any issue for material master items.
Our current issue is Purchase request is not creating as as follow on document for service item ( free text item) shopping cart.
can you pls advice , whether we need to maintain purchase request number ranges in any table like how we maintained for reservation in table T460D.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Ravikumar,
Please check the number range assignment in ECC for SRM SC is mapped to correct document type PR number range and it should be maintained with external number range assignment.
I hope this part of ECC configuration is maintained in R/3 4.7 and same is missing in ECC6.0.
Thanks
Giri
Hi Giri,
Number ranges are corrcetly defined and assigned perfectly in SRM as well as ECC 6.0 with corrcet document type and in ECC 6.0 with external number assignement.
Let me know whether we need to maintain any other configuration in any other place to rectify this issue.
Regards,
Ravikumar.T
Number range object RESB is for reservation. Please check your config or enhancement setting why reservation is triggering in ECC instead of PR.
Please reconfirm the PR Document type getting triggered in ECC and the curresponding number range for object BANF associated to the document type.

In SPRO-> Materials Management-> Purchasing-> Purchase Requisition-> Define Document type
You can find the number range object assigned to the PR document type. The. In the below path you can find the details of the number range object.
