BO Installation and administration

Hi experts,

  I am BO consultant working in report development. I need to work on administration in next project.

  I will be assigned to administrator activities in next project.

  Can any one tell what are the admin activities done in SAP BO server?

Hi Dharani,

Its not easy here to list all the activities here related to admin. Please try to have complete KT from the team who was currently taking this ownership. In KT make sure you have understood below:

1) Environment Setup and Architecture

2) Check all the services which you need to monitor daily

3) Get the knowledge about the monitoring the logs

4) Migration of Universes and Reports and any other stuff as per your project

5) Get the knowledge about the Disaster Recovery

6) Get complete DB details. Also you need to know the DBA, AD team details

7) Check any other tools used like versionnig

😎 Installing and upgrading the BO server

9) Make sure you have got SAP id,using which you can do search related to any issue you face for BO.

10) Also please refer the document mentione by Sciano, it will be very helpful

Hi Dharani,

To add to Deepak view points, please make sure you get the details about the down stream systems that get feeds from BOE by Schedules.  Easily it will get missed during KT.
