Master Data Daemon and ACR

BWA 7.2 adds a new master data daemon, as described in SAP Note 1640103.

What I'm not clear on is, does this new daemon replace the need for the Attribute Change Run (ACR)? As you'll recall, the ACR was required even before introducing BWA. So it seems reasonable to me that an ACR could be required even with the daemon. But I'm not sure.

We've had a couple of issues since upgrading to BW 7.3 / BWA 7.2, and I'm wondering if it might be a conflict between the ACR and the daemon.

I've also seen discussion http://scn.sap.com/thread/3151734 with similar (and other) questions, but I don't see an answer for this particular issue.

    Hello David,

The daemon just indexes new SID values but it does not activate new master data records (from M to A version). You still need the attribute/hierarchy change run.

    Hi,

is it a problem if the ACR and the Daemon run simultaneously?

    Thanks and best regards,
