Changing the Date of Manufacture in MSC2N change batch

Hi all,

I have a question regarding the change of manufacture date in t-code MSC2N.

My user has request to amend the manufacturing date for some batches but they were prompted with an system error “Date of production cannot be changed.”

When I study the explaination of the error, the Diagnosis says : "Message no. /CLA/ZZ_PP_BATCHTOOL004. The date of production may only be changed when it does not differ from the creation date of the batch and no goods movements has been posted yet."

I further checked on these batches and realized they have done good reciepts before.

If that is the case, can the date of manufacture stil possible to be changed in MSC2N?

If there is history then you will not be able to change the Dates, You can create new batch in MSC1N with proper dates & Transfer the stocks to New Batch

this message is from an add-on, in standard SAP you can change that date at any time.

Hi Jürgen,

Just a question about the add-on, can please let me know what is this? Do you have the note for this? I am having an issue as well about batch which I cannot update the manufacturing date.
