Key Figure: average calculation setting

Hi All,

I want to know if there is a way that when DP calculates the average across the selected KF's that the blank CVC combination can be ignored from the average calculation. This KF is set up with type 'Integer' and has a calculation type of 'A' and no other attributes have been changed.

This is my example.

CVC 1100
CVC 2100
CVC 3100
CVC 4

In DP, this will return an average value of 75.

If the same calculation is done in excel, the average would be 100 (the blank cell is ignored).

I don't want to remove the CVC from the POS as in a different time bucket it may have a value.

Does anyone know what I can do to DP to simulate the calculation result from excel?

Thanks

Paul

Hi Paul,

To ignore zero values, you may set the calculation type as 'E' instead of 'A'. That might return a value of 100 as you expected.

Thanks,

Rajesh

Hi Paul,

You can alternatively use function SUM divided by function NUMBER if you dont want to change the key figure calc type.

Thanks
