Agent Registration Logs

Hi All,

I've been trying to register an SMD agent to our solution manager. Right now, the status is Registration on-going but ticking on more details shows "No Contact" as last status. Where can I find the logs for these Agent candidates so I can further assess the cause of my error?

    Hi All,

    I am closing the thread, error was because of our firewall settings. I thought the ports need to be opened in SolMan only, I needed to open some ports in the managed system also.

    Hi Argal,

    When SMD cannot/will not connect I check the SMD agent logs in:

    \usr\sap\DAA\SMDA70\work

    \usr\sap\DAA\SMDA70\SMDAgent\log

    jvm_smdagent.out is a good place to look in the work directory. There are a lot of logs between the two directories so it can take a little time to find the error.
