Hi,
I have requirement to create same material code with two
diferent
valuation classes.
can I extend same material with a different
valuation type & different
valuation class in same plant?
If I do
so, what would be the future impacts in my system?
Yes you can extend same material more than one valuation type and different valuation class can be used...only possible thru Split Valuation as you know.
Different valuation class impact will be to hit the G/L Accounts which are difined in OBYC for that valuation class.
impacts: while procuring material system will ask always for valuation type also when do GR and GI, the valuation type you use in your transactions that will be impacted in accouting view of that valuation type and also the common accounting view of all valuation types in Material master.

No Impact, You can extend to New Valuation Type with Different Valuation Class, This Material will act as New Material so No Problem at all.
