Unable to add Package in a Team

Hi All,

Please see the below situation:

• We are adding Package to Team: America Data manager 1st time and its created
  recently.
• Before adding our user id to Team: America Data manager , we can add the
  package in Team: EA and its also showing in Package list.
• But When we add our user id to Team: America Data manager, we can’t add
  Package to Team: EA or Team: America Data manager.

Note: Team: EA was created before Team: America Data manager

Help me to identify the cause and rectify the issue.

Hi Sudhir,

Can you explain what do you mean exactly by "can’t add Package to Team" (do you get an error, or you can't find the package in the team folder...)?

Hi Mahmoud,

I am successfully able to add package to Team: EA. and even its showing in the Package list to Run the Package.

Team: America Data manager, which is created recently and we are adding package to this team 1st time.

As soon as I we add our user id to Team: America Data manager, we are able to add package( lets take P1)  and we get the message that Package P1 saved successfully but when we go to the Package list to Run the Package P1, we dont get the  Package P1 in Package list.

Same is the case with Team: America Data manager. After adding package we dont get Package in the Package list.

Hi again,

Can you check if it has been added to tblPackages?

Please have a look also at this SAP note "1435595 - Cannot assign packages to be available to the teams" which sggests that the name shouldn't be longer than 20 characters. I have cheked that "America Data manager" is 20 so it's worth trying to rename it and try again.

Please also tell what is the BPC version and Office you have.

Thanks a lot  Mahmoud.

The issue was with the team name having more than 20 characters.

Once I, deleted the Team and added new team having name withing 20 char, issue was fixed.

Thanks for you prompt response.

No user id is not team lead role.

But why After having access to Team: America Data manager, I am not able to add Package in Team: EA.
