Data uplode transfer from Lagacy System

Hi Experts,

Please help me with the Data Upload.

We are planned to use LSMW to upload the data but I don't know what data need transfer and in which format from Lagacy system.

Can you be more specific

you can Use LSMW to transfer data either through direct input or IDOC or BAPI or Batch recording

Identify the fields which you wnat to transfer from the legacy system and identify the type in through which you want to transfer data and use LSMW

I am new to the data upload and  I really don't know how it happens. I wish some one has to help me from the starting.

I have Completed the Configuration and ready for the data upload. You should suggest me whether line item wise uploading is better or  Only GL Account balances uploading is better. Also provide the other details.
