call screen for choosing characteristics value before creating document

Hi, collegues!

One more question, please. I have a class with assigned characteristics, class assigned to doc type. Is it possible before creating doc to give user the screen to choose values for assigned characteristics to a class? Is it possible without exits?

example in tr. cu50. There is a pop-up screen with werks. is it possible to make by standart functionality?

sorry to say , asnwer is NO.

you can make characterstics manadatory so that while creating document user must need to assign values to these, but transaction should start with a pop up is not a option here.

but you always have option to create a Z trasaction to achive same.

Class:Test

Characteristics: ProjectType

Values: A, B

DocType:ProjectDefinition

1. Create doc: ProjectDefinition1

2. BeforeCreating pop-ups a screen with values: A or B

3. Choosing B, enter

4. Go to doc

5. ProjectType = B assigned already (visible or invisible - not sufficient)
