Hello Experts:
There seems to have been a glitch at the original load of assets and the useful life of may was set at 5 years. I am changing to 39 years using LSMW for book depreciation (01) and "Group USD" (30). I ran a test of depreciation and it seems to work beautifully.
However, when I go to the "Parameters" tab on Asset Explorer, the "remaining life" changes from 4 years to 38 years but the denominator still shows 5 years. It looks like 38/5.
I expected this to change after the depreciation run but it did not. Is this just something I have to live with or is there a way to change it?
Thanks
Hi Jan,
The 38 / 5 means that the remaining life is 38 years and 5 months (the first column is for Years and the second is for Periods).
Check if you have that value (5) on the period column (field ANLB-NDPER) on as02 for that fixed asset.
Regards,
