Dear all,
I faced a connection issue between ECC and BW systems.
We changed our source system client from 640 to 800, after that when we try to connect the source system (ECC) it failed.
In SM59 we performed connection test and authorization test, the results are good. But when we go to RSA1 -> source system -> Select our source system and click "Check", we get the error message below:
----------------------------------------------
"Diagnosis
Incorrect IDoc type ZSWA007 in the ALE defintion of the source system.
System response
Error when sending data to BW.
Procedure
Enter IDoc type ZSWB003 ."
-----------------------------------------------
Does any body know how to solve this issue?
Any post will be appreciated, and thank you all for your time in advance!
Best regards,
Tim
Hi Tim,
This is error RSAR373.
Please read point 4 of SAP Note 1478123 - FAQ: Source system.

Hi Tim,
IDOC type is not identical between your source and BW system,Check in se11 --RSBASIDOC on bothsides ECC and BW.
Your case ZSWB003 should be the IDoc type in ECC and BW, if its not in BW system go to WE30 and copy same as RSSEND IDOCTYPE and name it as ZSWB003.
Finally make sure RSBASIDOC entries are identical in both the system.
Hope this helps...

Restore will not fix your issue. Just do the following:
Login to your SourceSystem > go to tcode WE20 > select your BW system partner profile in Partner Type LS Folder > Double Click on RSSEND (outbound parameter) > change the basic type value from ZSWA007 to ZSWA003.
This worked for me.

Another thing I want to ask is: what will happen if I "Restore" the source system? will it have some "Bad" impact to the BW system?
Thanks!
Tim
