Report level Filter on Web i report on bex query displaying Hierarchy

We have a web i report made through IDT BICS connection to display the OLAP hierarchies.

Now we have a column in the webi report which display hierarchy data and when we try to add a simple filter on it like , then the node on which the filter is applied , only that node data is being displayed , should not the child nodes attached to this filtered node also come up in the results?

Like we have the below O/P of the report after entering the prompt values.

North America

If we apply a report filter on Europe, then only Europe is coming and not the child nodes attached to it.We are expecting child nodes data (UK and Germany also) when we put filter on Europe.

Or Is this the expected behaviour?

Using BO 4.0 SP 12.

this should be working fine in FP03, it is amongst the many improvements done for the hierarchies...

you have to explicitly select the descendant members when you define the filter.

Note that expand/collapse or a hierarchy isn't possible afterwards.

there was a bug on this where the filter didn't show the desired levels, but i believe it is fixed on a higher patch (than your p2.12)

      Hi Simone,Henry,

The user has been asked to select the child nodes also if he wants to see them. Also , instead of putting a report ilter here , if user select the desired node at the prompt screen, then he will be able to drill down normally , so as of now choose the desired hierarchy node at the prompt screen only instead of using a report level filter.
