'disp+work' is not working after Database Upgrade

Hello Guys,

Recently I upgraded the Oracle database to 10.2.0.5 from 10.2.0.2 after that I patched Oracle client.

Both the works were successful without any error. Database is also coming UP.

After the successful Oracle upgrade, I patched the kernel to patch level 333 for release 700.

Now the problem is, whenever I am trying to start the central instance, the work processes are not coming up.

In SAPMMC the disp+work is greyed out.

I checked the log files but didn't able to find anything.

Could any one help me to resolve this issue?

Cn you chek whther your PSAPSR3 password had expired? what does R3trans -d tell ?

The SAPSR3 account seems to be locked .

Kindly unlock the oracle account SAPSR3.

connect to the database and execute the following.

sql> alter user SAPSR3 account unlock;

Please go through SAP note: Note 951167 - ORA-28000: the account
is locked

It says:-

If a user is already locked, you can unlock it as follows:

ALTER USER <username> ACCOUNT UNLOCK;

Hey Vishal,

I am also facing the same issue of Dispatcher and looking for the solution. i found the answer by ur help in SCN however the link which u have provided is opening and asking for User Name and Password.

So Could you please help me to resolve the issue..

Hi Prajapati,

My issue was with account locked out for the user SAPSR3. I found this on "dev_w0.log" file.

The link provided by Vishal is a SAP note & to access that you need S username & passowrd.

Btw could you tell us the problem with your SAP system?

hi vishal,i faced an issue in ecc , outboundque  smq1 ,in that ques status are showing as SYSFAIL,

and the information is      '""""logical system name changed,see oss note 588701""",

Hi All,

Thank you very much for your help.

The issue was with locked account of SAPSR3 user.

After unlocking that user.....SAP is running fine.

Dear Rajkumar

Please check the relevant permission to the updated files.

Check the old files permission and the new files [upgraded.]permission to verify.
