SAP Easy DMS and DMS document lock

Hi Guru,

We have a Easy DMS document which is lock by a user. with icon pencil with red circle on it.

Usually we fix this by doing the EXIT EDIT MODE, or logging to the user and do check-in the document back. but on this document those solution are not working and even doing changes to OBSELETE we cannot do it to the document. we are having error when doing it telling "Status does not allow you to change certain data". Please advice on how to unlock the document.. Thank you.

Hi Ryan,

from my point of view the current status of the document has the type 'S' which means that this is a locked status. In such a status only a few fields can be edited in the document info record. So I think that first of all you would have to change the status of the document info record. Afterwards all fields

should be accessible again.

Another possiblity would be to change the user name for this specific document info record directly in table DRAW (field DWNAM) to your userID. Then you should be able to reset the checkout situation for this original file in CV02N again.
