BPC 10NW - Hierarchy reporting issue

Former Member

Hi,

We are working on BPC 10NW SP05

We have built few reports where we are showing different hierarchies.  However, eventhough there is data in the backend, it doesn't show the values.

Example A1 is a hierarchy with A11, A12 and A13 accounts having 10, 20, 30 values in these base accounts.  When a report is executed for base level accounts, then it displays the value in the report.  However, if the report is executed for roll up account (A1) it doesn't display values at base level as well as rolled up level.

Note: We are using H2 hierarchy for ACCOUNT dimension.

Surprisingly, it doesn't work for hierarchy on any of the dimension.

Are we missing any parameters to be set?

Please suggest.

Thanks in advance

RG

Rashmi,

I had a similar issue when a problem in a custom time dimension member caused the account hierarchy not to aggregate data on balance sheet accounts. If reprocessing the app and validating the hierarchy doesn't solve the issue, I would check the time dimension for custom members for ex.: annual members etc.

Hi Everybody,

We are working with BPC 10 and SP12 (EPM Add-in) but still getting the same problem. When we select base levels for every dimension values become visible. But when we select Hierarchy node (exp. Account hierarchy) we could not get the values, although we have calculated values on our cubes.

If someone fixed this issue please give the right solution..

Thanks in advance..

Cigdem,

You can try these basic troubleshooting steps:

  1. Build the report in the web and see if the aggregation is an issue there
  2. Process all of your dimensions
  3. Clear all cache data on the client side (EPM: add-in Root -> Users - 'UserID' -> AppData -> Local -> EPMOfficeClient)
  4. Refresh the dimension cache from the backend ( BW: SE38 -> UJA_REFRESH_DIM_CACHE)

Check these notes:

Note: 1753959 Incorrect data or missing hierarchy nodes in query

Note: 1717433 Missing hierarchy nodes in BW queries

Hi Rashmi,

have you tried a "modify application" with "Process Application" option checked? Are visible on the OLAP the A1 values?

If you don't see values maybe there are problems with the hyerarchy, f.e. hwat is A1 in the H1 even a node of other accounts or a children?

Kind regards
