Is prompt like Feature possible in Xcelsius Dashboard?

Hi,

There is an interesting requirement and I am using Xcesius 2008.

When users click on Dashboard, we need a component to pop up where they enter the Employee code or name. Then need to build in the formula to link & pass it to the dashboard.

How to do this kind of requiremnt from user?

Additional details on Popup Window:

One left side of Pop up window users should be able to type first three letters of Employee Code or Name (Any search box feature). Right side box should be able to show list of all employees based on the search term entered in the left side search box. They should be able search both by name and code and accordingly searched word should be shown in right box. The selected name should be taken as variable by dashboard again to refresh the data. Can we use QaaWS?

Please check attached PPT.

Please help.

Regards,

NandaKishore

    Hi Nanda,

Pattern matching functionality is not yet provided by Xcelsius nor any method to pop up a prompt.

    An alternative way would be

    - to take a Background component, and on it design the combo boxes as you want, group them together

    - use dynamic visbility display the above group on click of whatever command you want.

    - you can do the initial load of the combo box either on click of a command or during intial dashboard launch

    - Whatever value is selected from this combo box, can then be passed to Qaaws to get other dtails that you want to display on dashboard

Let me know if this helps.

    Thanks.
