Dear Experts,
We have made a conversion to SAP IS retail system.
Now the issue is, the Batch management Indicator is not available or visible in the Logistics DC and Logistics Store View. Presently, the Batch Management indicator in the Basic Data view is checked as we have only DC (Distribution Center as Site) in SAP. Since, the stores are also to be brought into SAP, we need to activate the Batch Management only at site level since the stores are not Batch Managed.
I have checked the following. As per the existing configuration, the Batch Management Indicator is supposed to be available in the Logistics DC and Store view. Please help me by throwing some light on understanding where there might be the issue.
The Batch is Unique at the Article level.
1) In the LO-General--Material Master--Configuring the Material Master--Define Structure of Data Screens for Each Screen Sequence,
The subscreen for the DC view shows the Batch Management Indicator.
2) In the field selection settings also, the field is configured as an optional entry.
Request your help in identifing the cause for the issue. Since the batch is activated at client level (Basic Data), we will get into trouble when we go-live without the batch management at site level. Now, we are not able to do that as the field is missing.
Thanks in advance for the assistance.
Regards,
Sathish Kumar.
Hi Sathish,
i think for IS-Retail , we are using as values and variants as batch classification.
while creating material itself,it ll ask for values and variants like colors and sizes....
hope i make u little clear..........

Hi,
Presently batch management indicator in the Basic Data is checked. As we will bring-in stores into SAP, we need to set/check the Batch management indicator at the DC level as stores will not be Batch managed.
My issue is, I am not able to view the Batch Management Indicator in the DC view of the Article master as explained.
Please advice.
Regards,
Sathish Kumar.
