Hello,
I am updating one of our clients development system to EHP5. This is a fresh installation.
The phase MAIN_SHDRUN/ACT_UPG is running from the past 24 hours approx.
Details of the system are as follows:
HP-UX BL860 server.
Database DB2 9.7 FP3
RAM 12GB
4 CPUs
I am regularly checking <EHPI installation directory>/abap/tmp and <EHPI installation directory>/abap/log. What I noticed is there is a file in <EHPI installation directory>/abap/tmp which is around 500 MB in size and it gets updated every 5 or 6 hours. There are no errors yet in any of the log files and no dumps in the shadow system. In the shadow system, there are DIA work processes running and a background job SAPLSDMP is running in SM50. Also the background job RDDMASGL in SM37 is active from the past 90000 seconds.
I have selected the standard resource use. However I have not made changes in the profile parameters as mentioned in the note 1387739.
My question here is, it usually takes how much time with the system details mentioned above to complete this phase? Do I need to be waiting till I get an error pop up and then make changes or manually need to make any changes so that this phase will get over soon?
Waiting for a prompt reply.
Thanks & Regards,
Sanket K.
Hello,
Problem is solved.
This phase takes a lot of time and it completed without any errors.
Patience is the key to this phase.

Sanket K.
