We have BPC 10 NW and I just installed EPM Office Add-in Excel on my Windows 7 PC with Excel 2010. However, I'm unable to view the "Data Manager" tab in Excel 2010 on Windows 7. I have full access to EPM tab in Excel 2010 on Windows 7.
Trouble shooting so far:
1) Confirmed I have "Data Manager" Task. Added and removed myself many times.
2) Uninstalled and re-installed EPM Office Add-in Excel
Thank you in advance!
Mark
Hi Mark,
We had faced a similar issue some time ago. Is it happening for one particular environment or all the environment.
We had an impression that our environmentshell was corrupted, so we cleaned the environment using UJS_ACTIVATE_CONTENT and again activated the BI content (including other options) under same program. (Transaction - SE38).
Not sure if it will resolve the issue, but you may want to try that out.
Hope it helps!!

Hi Mark/David,
I solved this issue by going to Excel EPM -> Options -> Command Display Options in that select ALL BUTTONS
Hope this helps.

Hi Friends,
I had similar issue of disappearing Data Manager Package Tab.
I have un-installed and re-installed by selecting "install the BPC client for "NW" And Even you want BPC NW Embedded please select the same option "install the BPC client for "NW". It will work and Data Manager Package will Appear.
Thank you all and Hope this helps you all.

Hi Mark,
I know you have solved this issue by now, but since you used an image I wanted to put the correct answer on this thread so others can see it.
This answer is the same for both 32 and 64 bit and Office 2007 or 2010.
What happens is that during the client install of EPM Add-in.exe there is a screen at the beginning asking if you want to:
a) install the BPC client for NW
b) install the BPC client for MS
c) install three different items - THIS is the DEFAULT selection
Like most overworked admins, you probably scanned this screen and went with the default.
Doing so will not install the data Manager tab but will let you do other BPC 10 related activities,
Uninstall, then reload and select option #1 install BPC office client for NetWeaver and the issue will be resolved, no more missing tab.
Of course, you need to be assigned an environment and data access rights to use the tab

I did some legwork and my laptop was the only system having this problem therefore something was corrupt on my laptop (the client). Although I was not able to resolve by re-installing software on that laptop, I did get a new hard drive image and that corrected the problem.
Thank you to everything who replied!

Hi Mark,
Apart from Data Manager tab are you able to view other tabs present in BPC Excel. What is the Office 2010 version installed in your System, is it 32bit or 64bit.

Hi Mark,
I would say try with another user having BPC_SYSADMIN rights and SAP_ALL profiles.
You can also try this way. Assign your user to a team and make the user as team leader. Allocate all the task profiles and data access profiles to this team and then check.

Ashwin.
