Actual cost getting added to plan cost in KKA2.

Hi All,

In result analysis i am facing an issue. Scenario is ;

Project is created with first level WBSE as a billing element and RA key(RA101) is assigned to this WBSE only.

Two line ids (W01, W02) for cost are created.

CE 51000031 linked to line id W01 and RA key RA101

CE 84321001  linked to line id W02 and RA key RA101

Overall as well as annual cost planning(100000 INR) is done thru CJ40 against CE 51000031.

Network is created in a project with DO NOT DETERMINE PLAN COST SELECTED.

Thru activity confirmation actual cost (20000 INR) is calculated against CE 84321001.

Now, KKA2 gives;

Actual cost = 20000

Plan cost= 120000 (100000+20000), here comes my question why actual cost is getting added to the plan cost.

I found in line id values in KKA2 that actual cost 20000 is getting updated for line id W02, which is correct, but at the same time plan cost 20000 is also getting updated for line id W02 , which i think should not have updated and may be due this  my plan cost is not coming correct in KKA2.

But i dont understand why this is happening and how to get rid off it.

Please give some inputs.

Hi Akhil,

Check configuration for Result analysis key in path below

Project Sytem -Revenues & Earnings - Automatic & Periodic Allocations - Result Anlysis - Edit Result Analysis Keys and Version - Define Valuation Methods for Result Analysis

Check what is the valuation level maintained.

Hi Tushar,

Valuation level maintained was VALUATION AT LINE ID LEVEL (Z). I tried by changing it to VALUATION AT TOTAL LEVEL(S)  but the problem is still there.

Please suggest
