Before I look at putting together a page for the WIKI, I wanted to find out if there would be (A) any interest and (B) if its already been done somewhere else; in me putting together a chart on the SAP extractors available to data services. What I was thinking about was something like:
Extractor name: 0HR_PT_1
Purpose: Times from Personal Work Schedule
Officially supported: No
Delta Capable: Yes
Delta Type: Unknown
Works for full load: Yes
Works for Delta: No
Notes required: 12345567
My idea is over time people will add to this list with what works or doesn't and what they had to do to get it to work.
Any thoughts ? Would you use this ? Would you contribute ?
Regards,
Leigh.
Hi Leigh,
List of extractors available for BODS (with some basic details) is available in wiki:
http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/EIM/List+of+Extractors+for+DataServices
If you are going to provide more detials other what is there in the link, I think people might use it if/when necessary.
Thoughts from other members would be good too.
Thanks, Arun.

Werner hangs around here: ( http://www.forumtopics.com/busobj/viewforum.php?f=83&sid=799de13ce17045a9a8c11a5ffc1081dd ). I think he is still Business Objects at heart 🙂
NB: Do you know the meaning of the cods in the method column ? i.e if an extractor method is F1 , what does that mean ?
Thanks.
Hi Leigh
There are two major extraction methods : F1 and F2.
F2-:. You can find an F2 type example given by the FM RSAX_BIW_GET_DATA_SIMPLE. Here in FM, you will implement the logic for full and delta extraction. Each time the extractor is called in delta mode, the correct delta has to be determined at runtime.
F1. - Function Module RSAX_BIW_GET_DATA is of F1 type. Here you have to implement only the logic for the initial full load in the FM. Delta loads are extracted from the delta queue, which is a generic SAP table.
But in SAP , by default when you create a FM it will be created as F2 type. you can set this to F1 by going to ROOSOURCE table.
