How to stop creating two records of employee followed by ESS change of personnel Info.

Dear Experts,

We are facing issue followed by ESS live in EHP5 in terms of personnel information change. Whenever portal users are changing any information related to personnel data or address through ESS personnel info in portal, its creating multiple records under same ID in R3 creating lots of confusion.

Kindly suggest how to restrict it, i tried by changing time constraint to 1 in IT0002/IT0006 in T591A and B1 in T7XSSPERSUBTYP table, but i didn't work.

Also since there is standard workflow available to approve such changes, we are trying to build a custom workflow.

Please help to resolve it ASAP.

This sort of thing is very likely to be an SAP product Bug,

Please do raise an OSS message straightaway. Also do put in a search for an OSS note. it is quite possible one has already been release.

Would these BADIs be helpful in above scenario.

BADI HRXSS_PER_BEGDA can be used to change the default date

of creation (and modification) from todays date to a future date, BADI HRPAD00INFTYBL might be used to create logic which forces

certain handling like delimitation or or certain ENDDA validity

Use badis only as a last resort

First raise an OSS message and see where that gets you, Shouldn't be putting in custom stuff where things should be working as standard by default.

(Not commenting on whether those Badis are appropriate for this problem at all, at this stage)

Dear Sameer,

Its happening from portal end, i mean when ever they are changing any record in personnel data, automatically in R/3 two records of same ID with different validity period getting created.

For eg. IT0002: one record with actual DOB, another with current system date.

How to stop this and converting it to only one record at a time.

can you share a screen shot of the table V_T7XSSPERSUBTY , also  what version of ess you are using , is it the newer webdynpro version?

looks like there is some bug , if you do infotype changes in change mode , it should not create a new record .

You may raise it to SAP .
