Unit of Measure Issue

Hi experts,

I have to calculate rate on unit quintal & my base unit of measure is EA But we purchase material from party in (candy)unit of product .Now I make po with with unit each & calculate price on quintal .We no rate of candy not quintal & relation is (1 candy x0.2812 )= rate of quintal.So where I fix this formula in standard sap system ? please help to solve issue

Its only possible when you maintain the conversion factors between all your UOMs.

Hi,

As I understand, you are dealing with three unit of measures EA,Quintal and candy!

As base unit of measure is EA which is fixed and want other unit of measure Quintal and candy,then

need to maintaion with conversion factor(formula) from EA ONLY as reference!

Did  you maintaion with conversion factor for EA to Quintal?

If yes, then maintaion conversion factor for EA to candy.

You can not maintaion conversion factorfrom Quintal to candy, so establish the formula between EA to candy

you can have a different order price unit in PO, pl see field OPN in PO item

you may have to maintian the conversion between ordering unit and order price unit in quantites weights tab

i dont want conversion on unit, I want the formula for price calculation, can i fix formula for particular condition so that it will calculate price as per formula?

where you want this calulated price to appear?

Hi Ragini,

You can use Purchasing Infor Record for that. Also when creating Material Master you can maintain Base Unit of Measurement in Basic Data Tab and Order Unit in Purchasing data tab, while entering different order unit than BUM it ask for conversion there you can maintain the conversion of both units and also can check in Base Unit of Measure in additonal data on top in material master.
